Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Over 11m Course – Safe Operation at Heights

Course Details

Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, a High Risk Work Licence is mandatory for operating a boom-type elevating work platform (with a boom length of 11 metres or more) in Western Australia. Our face-to-face course delivers the nationally recognised unit TLILIC0005 – Licence To Operate A Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform.

What You'll Learn

  • Plan EWP operations

  • Conduct routine checks

  • Set up and operate EWP

  • Shut down and secure EWP

  • Implement emergency procedures

Upon completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment and can apply for their High Risk Work Licence through WorkSafe WA.

For Beginners:

  • Delivery: Face-to-face session at our training location

  • Duration: 2 Days

  • Cost: $420.00 (GST Free)

For Experienced/Refresher:

  • Delivery: Face-to-face session at our training location

  • Duration: 1 Day

  • Cost: $380.00 (GST Free)

Certification:

  • Statement of Attainment issued within 3–7 business days

  • High Risk Work Licence issued by WorkSafe WA upon successful application

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Proof of WA residency (e.g., WA driver's licence or utility bill)

  • Valid Photo ID

  • Unique Student Identifier (USI)

  • Conversational level of English for reading, responding, and interpreting safety information

Assessment Details

Verbal, Practical & Theory Assessments:

Language Requirements:

  • Assessments are conducted in English only, without the use of translators.

Identity Verification:

  • Participants must verify their identity using a valid Photo ID during the assessment process.

PPE Requirements

  • All PPE is supplied except for footwear.

Re-enrolment Policy

Participants must complete all course components within the allocated timeframe. Failure to do so will require re-enrollment and payment of associated fees.

Note: High Risk Work Licences require an additional licensing fee payable to WorkSafe.
